Beautiful handmade miniature Awajún ceramic pottery bowl, each painted with a unique pattern. These are sample, practice pieces from our very first meeting! This is the large size, equivalent to the size of a generous serving bowl, crock, or mixing bowl.
These make perfect mini bowls wherever you want an old world, real look and feel. You will receive one random piece.
In 2021 the Awajún process of making ceramics was inscribed onto the UNESCO list of Intangible World Heritage. This elegant process includes many steps of making pottery only from materials found in the rainforest, and marked with patterns referring to the nature around the community. This gorgeous piece is larger and so works well as a display or fruit bowl; it works well in a dollhouse kitchen or dining room setting, or display item in any other room. Entirely handmade, fired outdoors.
Diameter varies: 1 1/8” is typical
