In 2021 the Awajún process of making ceramics was inscribed onto the UNESCO list of Intangible World Heritage. This elegant process includes many steps of making pottery only from materials found in the rainforest, and marked with patterns referring to the nature around the community. Entirely handmade from materials found in the rainforest, fired outdoors.
