Entirely handmade miniature Shipibo garments: a blouse, skirt, and bead belt. Made by Emilda Sanchez Barbaran. The colors are, according to Emilda, living colors, the preference of Shipiba women. The skirt (chitonti) is wrap style, heavily embroidered with visionary kené geometries. The white beaded belt ties the ensemble to the waist. Traditionally the colorful bands of the blouse and patterned part of the skirt are worn on the back.
Intended to be 1/12 scale, but may be slightly larger.
