Extremely fine handwoven chambira basket with a handle. The structure of the basket is guarumo and the weaving material is chambira spun ultra fine. The first of its kind. These baskets are handmade in the Ticuna community of Nazareth, Colombia. The fiber is harvested by hand in the reserve surrounding the community, processed and woven by hand. Anamilena SIlva consistently makes the most innovative and precise miniature baskets. As you can see, it leans ever so slightly.
