Sturdy, richly colored miniature floor accent basket made by hand with chambira palm fiber dyed with plants. This baskets was handmade in the Ticuna community of Nazareth, Colombia by Violeta Augusto. The fiber is harvested by hand in the reserve surrounding the community, processed and woven by hand. The color comes entirely from plants - no chemicals or machines involved at any point during the process! This beautiful piece makes a great utility container or dynamic decor.
