One of the most ancient forms of Shipibo pottery, the figural vase was once constructed to hold liquids at home. While there are slight variations, each piece uniquely represents the culture.

Handmade in Ucayali, Peru by Lily Sandoval. Her process is entirely traditional: clay dug from the earth, cleaned by hand, blended with apacharana, mineral colors derived entirely from ground rocks, fire outdoors in the open and glaze from tree resin.
