A tutuma is a typical and traditional bowl used throughout the Amazonian lowlands. Often used for serving masato, a fermented yuca beverage. Tutumas are usually carved of a calabash shell, and often have decorative designs outside. These miniature tutumas were handcarved by Matusalen Ramos of tagua seeds. This is the larger version.
